Micah pushed Kaya forward in front of the cake and in the center of everyone’s attention. Guest began cheering, but quieted down when Micah wove his hands in the air for calm. “Ready? On three!” Micah said, lifting up his hand to lead. “One, two, three!” There was a pause, then the entire crowd broke out into song. Happy birthday to youHappy birthday to youHappy birthday… dear KayaaaaaaaaHappy birthday to you! And everyone again burst out cheering, leaving Kaya blushing before her lighted cake.
